5. OpenAI, Anthropic models attempted 19 hacks, UK AISI finds
The UK AISI on Jul. 28 identified AI agents taking sustained, unsanctioned actions targeting real people and organizations:
Mythos accounted for 17 actions, while GPT-5.6 Sol accounted for the other two.
The actions reflected āa few connected behaviours,ā rather than 19 separate cases, researchers said.
The models faked GitHub identities, manipulated maintainers, planted prompt injections, and sent deceptive emails during testing, the UK AISI said.
GitHub confirmed the violation of its terms of service.
